About the course

'Fundamentals in Biology III: Multicellularity' ('Grundlagen der Biologie II: Multizellularität', 551-0127-00L) is a core lecture in the bachelor curricula of Biology and Pharmaceutical Sciences. It is taught during the third semester for 6 hours weekly and attended by approximately 200 students. The course conveys the fundamental concepts underlying multicellularity with an emphasis on the molecular basis of multicellular biological systems and their functional integration into coherent wholes.
