About the course

'Molecular Mechanisms of Health and Disease' (551-1518-00L) is a core course of the Biology bachelor curriculum. It is taught during the fourth semester for 2 hours weekly and attended by approximately 100 students. The course builds on the Fundamentals in Biology courses that are taught during the first three semesters. Students are introduced into molecular disease mechanisms with a focus on the immune system and its role in health and disease and on cancer biology.
