About the course

'Physics' ('Physik', 402-0072-00L) is a service lecture conducted by D-PHYS in the biology bachelor curriculum. The course takes place in the second semester for 5 lecture hours and 2 exercise hours weekly. Around 250 students are enrolled in this course.

This course is taught by Prof. Thomas Ihn.

CAL support

For this lecture, CAL was involved in selecting the topics and formulating the course objectives according to the educational needs of biology students. CAL developed teaching material highlighting the relevance of physical concepts in biology, including exercises and parts of the material accompanying the lecture.

This is the first time that CAL collaborated with another departement to remodel and adapt a service lecture in the biology curriculum.
