Practical training in biology II

About the laboratory course

'Fundamentals of Biology II' (Grundlagen der Biologie II, 551-0130-00L) is a core laboratory course of the bachelor curricula of Biology and Interdisciplinary Sciences. It is taught during the fourth semester for 8 hours weekly and attended by approximately 200 students. This course introduces the students to the entire range of classical and modern molecular biosciences. The students perform three praktikum days in: Plant Biology, Animal Models, Genomics and Molecular Systems Biology.

CAL support

During the Covid-Pandemic CAL not only managed the moodle course of the practicals as usual but also helped develop virtual practicals which could be done when students were not allowed to attend large classes.
