Latest ETH Globe issue focusses on active learning at ETH Zurich

Innovative teaching is one of the explicite goals of the ETH education strategy. To that end, teaching approaches fostering active learning are strongly encouraged by the rectorate. The latest issue of the ETH Globe is therefore dedicated to this topic; innovative teaching concepts in different departements are presented. The course Fundamentals of Biology IA, developed by CAL, serves as an example for the implementation of a flipped-​classroom approach.
